Overcharge Claim

An overseas buyer is claiming I 'overcharged' them because they did not realise what currency they were bidding in.
I have tried to explain to them that they bid in my currency but am afraid they are just going to claim the item hasn't shown up to get a refund. Isn't it the bidder's responsibility to know what currency the auction is in?

Am I correct in thinking that they have already paid and item has been posted?
If they have not yet paid then you can simply cancel the transaction, or if already paid and dispatched you could suggest they send the item back for a refund?
I like to think that most buyers are honest - but if they do claim INR then not much you can do other than refund and claim from RM - by the sounds of it the item was sent untracked so value less than £46?0 -
Yes, they paid and the item is in transit. I sent it untracked as it was only worth £10. I will be able to claim if the buyer pretends they haven't recieved it but it's tiresome.
I just don't see how anyone can go through the whole payment system and not realise what currency the autcion is listed in.
thanks for your suggestions.0 -
It sounds fishy to me.
I assume they paid via Paypal? Paypal converts foreign currency into local currency before you pay so they would have know exactly how much they were paying.0 -
I echo this,i had someone from germany bid a few weeks ago and when i sent the invoice it showed it in there currencyIt sounds fishy to me.
