Best and worst parts of Acomb in York

My family and I are looking to relocate (through work) to York and on our budget Acomb seems to be the part of the city we are most likely to end up in outside of nearby towns.
My question is: which are the best and worst parts of Acomb to live in? have read that Chapelfields is not too clever but York overall is a nice place so I suppose it depends on your view of what is good or bad.
Any local knowledge would be fantastic. Street names would be a big help so I can get a map of the areas in which to search for homes
Many thanks in advance

Throughout most parts of York, the good and bad areas are often only a street away from each other.
You are right to avoid the Chapelfields estate. I think I'd avoid the Bellhouse Way and Foxwood areas.
I have friends in the Albion Ave area, and Malvern Ave / Manor Drive South / Beaconsfield St (though poor parking) and Holgate areas.
What sort of home are you looking for and in what sort of budget?0
