Not reciving letters!

I recently won my appeal fot ESA, The 1st thing i new abou tthis was when a big payment turned up in my bank so i rang up and asked what it was and thats when they told me, i told them i have not received any letters they said letters had been sent out!i moved house 6 months ago and got a letter at the very start confirming my change off addressee, i had 2 sick notes in this time and did't get the pre paid envelope to send them in, i rang up on both occasions and told it was sent out!
I am not receiving letters! they have the correct addressee and say there is no problem on their side, so whats going on? all of my other post an letters arrive fine, it seems to be just letters from the dwp. im worried that when they eventually send me for a new medical i wont get the letter. has anybody else experience anything like this? im 100% convinced the problem is on their end like i say i get all my other post no problems.

Talk to your head post office/ sorting office to see if the mail is going astray.
Have you not considered paying for 6 months of all post being re routed to your new address? this way you would find out if the DWP really do have your new address and are using itWow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

The problem is with Royal Mail, as 99% of the letters are sent automatically when something new is logged onto your claim. Speak with them, and also ask the DWP to post something out confirming your address(they will happily do this), but dont speak to them with that attitude, or I'm not sure you'll get anywhere with anyone.0

hi just reading your post i have had this problem before with DLA letters you can just ask them to re post.
Just to let you know i have just moved house and the royal mail will not re-direct any benefit type letters.
So i had to ring and give my new address and check they had not sent me any letters0 -

I think with DWP letters, that they won't be re-directed though.
I read somewhere that government letters get sent back to the DWP as a precautionary measure.2019 Wins

That's right, Royal Mail, will not re-direct DWP letters because years ago there was several scams of fraud, double claiming benefits. Someone would claim a benefit, say DLA, give an address and then complete a re-direction form with Royal Mail so that the mail and Giro's would be sent to their own address, this allowed them to claim twice and on some occasions, they gave several different addresses to claim even more. The system has changed now and done on NI numbers so this shouldn't happen now anyway.
It seems unlikely to be Royal Mail's thought every time, too much of a coincidence that it's just DWP's mail going missing, isn't it.
I hope you get it sorted out.

Unless this is a new thing, when I worked there they redirected everything that was addressed apart from the ones that state DO NOT REDIRECT. I've only been retired a year, and a lot can change in that time, hopefully custardly will confirm soon
I would be asking them to send you a test letter, see if you get that. And take it from there4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
