Amending Eurostar tickets...

Ok so I am taking my fiancee to Disneyland Paris for her birthday in July and also to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, she has no idea that im planning this trip and I dont plan on telling her until the day before we go!!
However I have been an idiot and made a complete mistake on the return part of our Eurostar journey, I have booked it for returning on the 12th, when in fact I meant to book it for the 13th, unfortunately I have booked the non refundable, non exchangeable tickets.
Anyway I emailed Eurostar explaining the situation and the guy came back with a rather rude reply just saying that there is nothing he can do and that I will have to purchase a new single ticket from DLP at £170!!! I only paid £139 for the whole return journey!
Now heres the thing when I look at booking a new return journey the return part of the ticket on the in direct train (which is what we are travelling on anyway) is coming up at £88, however when I try to book this as a single its coming up that all journeys are sold out except for the £170 direct train!
The difference between my original return on the 12th and the new on the 13th is only £20.00, is there anyway I can plead with them to change this and just pay the difference? I have worked so much overtime to be able to pay for this holiday and be able to take a nice amount of spending money to give my fiancee a special birthday, but I just cannot afford £170!
Any advice is appreciated!

Plead with them by telephone, but usually they will only correct booking errors for a short space of time after the booking was made. I think that when you noticed the mistake you might have done better telephoning them rather than emailing them.0

I travel with Eurostar frequently. I'm afraid that if you haven't got a flexible or semi flexible ticket they will not change your ticket. I have been in your predicament a few times and begged them over the phone. They unfortunately won't budge and stick to the rules. Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.0

It is sometines cheaper to book the train from the Gare du Nord, where there are lots of trains each day than on the single train from Disneyland, you can get the RER train for a few euros into Paris and possibly save yourself a bit of money. Have to agree that if you book non refundable, non changable tickets, that is excatly what they are.0
