I bought a used car yesterday from a popular dealer and if I'm honest we rushed through the process as i drove it away that day.

They say all their cars are MOT'd and serviced very frequently and up to date, however with my documents i took away from the dealership i can't find some sort of MOT pass certificate only a 'Refusal MOT' bit of paper telling me a month ago it failed on lights. Does this mean it may not be MOT'd? have can i possibly check.

Also... What is the difference between 'Vehicle Tint' and 'High Performance Tint' ?

Thanks

But i need the doc ref number which is on my V5 which they have sent off in my name is that correct? Also i checked up the doc number from the MOT Refusal certificate and it came up with fail but I'm presuming because its that certificate. if that makes sense?

Looks like you have done an MOT Status Check.
    Try MOT History Check instead.
Its on the same page on the Drirect Gov website.

The doc ref for the V5 should be on the new keeper slip they gave you.

According to google and what I could find.. it's meant to just offer more protection against heat/sun glare etc.
