And what happened to your picture mr2jay?

My demi-john are bubbling away quietly. I'm not the greatest at this waiting game ;)

So how are you Guys doing?

I have just finished bottling my Raspberry Ale (smells divine) and my experiments with tea wines have gone amazingly well. The Blueberry and Apple is a storming success (ask the BH ;) ) and I have a Cherry and Cinnamon and an Apple and Cinnamon on the go at the moment.

The Raspberry wine smell revolting though, as does the coffee one so I think I may need to chalk them up to experience and not bother again ;)

I would reply about your query re the picture but... I can't remember what I meant! :rotfl::rotfl: Honestly, I have the memory of a gold fish at times!

I'm going to check my demi-johns to see what is bubbling or not and report soon. :D

I'm gonna start my homebrew quest this weekend, gonna pick a load of gear up from my dads as he used to do it years ago, and then get anything else I need off eBay.

I'm not a lager or ale fan, so gonna go with ciders and wines

mr2jay.. any chance of popping all your recipes into one post? So us newbies can easily follow thru them?

What's the quickest recipe you can make? I've got a party coming on the 28th.. reckon anything would be ready in 1 week?

Go to the pub :D Plenty of choice here in Newcastle anyway :rotfl::rotfl:

I started 3 demi-johns at the beginning of June (6, 7th and 10th respectvely I think) and they are still bubbling a little. It's not an fast process! Alternatively...

... I made homemade lemonade yesterday. 12 hours and you can put vodka in it :D

That's the one I've been using. It's easy to use and seems to have done the trick of cleaning the demi-johns and other tools properly, judging by the smell of my unfinished wines.
