My Intuition is really strong and mostly accurate ......... how about you ??

depends what you mean by intuitive. If it means not being fooled by people, then I think that is a personality trait (my sister is very cool headed and logical, so she see's what's really there rather than over emotionalising or romanticising things). I think people who' see clear 'just tend to be more analytical and process more information than the average person.
There is a woman I work with who is a spiritualist and believes she has psychic powers and healing abilities. I think it's a bit sad she has to invent psychic powers to feel good about herself.Emergency savings: 4600

I believe that bitter experiences of all kinds help to hone what we call intuition. You feel the pain, survive it but inwardly and perhaps unconsciously take note of the warning signs that you missed the first time round.
I think that almost all of us possess the ability to at least some degree - for example, most of us can sense when someone is staring at us with a less than benevolent gaze.
People are often quietly astounded at my level of 'intuition'. However, when I take an incident apart, I can rationalise that the circumstances told me what was about to happen and not any kind of psychic gift. For example, even while the radio is on or visitors are speaking, I will suddenly look up and announce that there's a hawk about. Lo and behold, seconds later a speeding, hunting hawk appears. I knew because somewhere in the depths of my head, I had noticed the small birds had gone very quiet.
Similarly, I'm a dab hand at finding lost things simply because my brain notes a tiny speck of colour where logic says no colour should be.
However, as yet another Scorpio, I have sometimes sensed things for which I can give no rational explanation and which give me goosebumps. That's when intuition becomes scary!0 -
here is a most recent stand out experience for me, back in November last year I fell pregnant, last thing I expected !! My last DD is 8 and having another had not even crossed my mind.
One day about a week before I found out I was in Sainsburys carpark and I saw the female doctor whoI had gone to when I was expecting DD ( my usual doctor is male and been family doctor for years ) But when I fell with DD my Doc was on holiday so when it came to me getting test results etc I was booked an appointment with the female doc, who booked me in with midwife etc.
I cannot remember seeing her at all over the last 7 years since then until last November, not even at the surgery as I rarely go to docs.
When I saw her in Sainburys carpark I wasn't late for my period or anything, just saw her and thought oh there's Doctor ....... she dealt with me when I found out I was pregnant with DD and that was it. A passing moment.
A few days later I woke from a dream where I had taken a pregnancy test and it was positive !! I just put that down to seeing the female doctor a few days before as I know how the subconscious works in dream state.
But you guessed it, a week later I was late !! took a test and boom !! positive !! Go figure, I know intuition was at play somewhere ..... but the whole bit of producing the female Doc into the equation is most odd.
Sadly I miscarried at 7 weeks, but I'm ok with that I know nature had a reason.
Its just one of many strange times when my subconcious ( or intuition ) has tried to tell me something ......0 -
I've never thought of myself as having heightened intuition but I can often pick up that something's askew. I think it's more that I'm an observant person (visual awareness is key in my work) I love to 'people watch' and being a Gemini I'm gregarious, so people talk to me. I have pretty good recall - often have to make retrospective notes of verbal conversations so will know if someone's contradicted themselves.
Some people seem to go round in their own little bubble, can be very inward looking or just blinkered and so stuff goes over their head.
One thing I'm fairly good at is predicting the sex of babies, I'm not often wrong but it's either going to be one or the other so the odds aren't high on that one! :rotfl:Over futile odds

Im also a Scorpio and also feel my intuition is pretty strong.
I ALWAYS trust my instincts on people, decisions.
The funny thing is I have a twin sister (obviously a scorpio too!) and she is so far from sussing things out she readily admits to not being intuative at all, but she does have the most bizarre dreams which some of come true.Second purse £34.75/£50.00

No intuition or gut feeling?

rokchic you've shattered my illusions
I would call this a coincidence.
I suppose it depends what you call intuition I think intuition is more of an insight or perception. Like you knew or thought you were pregnant even though all other signs were indicating that you weren't. It's something you feel without evidence to back you up.
For me intuition is when you have a gut feeling that something or someone isn't as it seems. You just know, that despite what your being told or what you are seeing that there's more to it.
After the event it's easy to put incidents together and make a connection.

I use to think my intuition and gut instincts about situations and people were spot on. However recently I have ended up being pleasantly surprised by how some events have unfolded. My initital feelings on things were proven to be wrong.
I take a long time to get to know people and often my first impressions of them have changed after a while. Intuition can be a good thing but I dont like to jump in to quick and decide something/someone is a certain way before really weighing it all up.
I do dream very vividly and can relate to that feeling of predicting things in my dreams. I think thats just my subconscious working overtime though. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
I have very vivid dreams and have often been in a situation where I remember dreaming the event and it unfolds as it did in my dream. Can't tell when it will happen, some of the dreams I remember from when I was very young. When I was married, I dreamed about going on a specific holiday and the man I was going with wasn't my husband, I remember thinking afterwards that it was odd going away without my husband... and wondered who the heck that man was, as I didn't know him. Fast forward a few years, I'm divorced and that man is my OH. And yes, we had that specific holiday last year.
Have to say that it was a real shock when I first met him! (have to add that we didn't get together until after both our marriages had ended)
I just wish I could have these dreams about the lottery numbers

That's a coincidence, not intuition. I think you are mixing the two up.0 -
I have a sixth sense when it comes to men who physically hurt people for pleasure. when I meet them I feel a sense of dread and coldness come over me.
They can be as charming as you like, but the hairs on the back of neck rise up and I feel sick. My skin crawls when they touch me to shake my hand and I cannot spend time in the same room as them.
It's happened seven times, but actually hasn't happened for ages - in fact it hasn't happened since I met my husband, so maybe I feel secure enough now that my panic button doesn't go off with these people anymore. I had to leave a GP surgery once as my radar went off with a locum. I excused myself to the toilet and then left the building.
I can't explain it. All I know is a self-preservation instinct kicks in and starts howling at me to get away from them.
EDITED TO ADD: Just to add, I've been right about three of them, but don't know about the other four. The only reason I know about three of them was because they are/were friends of friends so I got to hear about these things when they blew up. The other four were strangers so I've no idea.
One was beating up his girlfriend and threatening to hurt to their daughter if she ever said anything (which she eventually did as she developed cancer and ended up telling the nurses in hospital one night after her op to remove the lump). One was abusing his daughter when she was a child and that came to light years after I met him - she blew the whistle as a teenager - and the third was done for attacking a number of women after having dates with them."carpe that diem"0
