Hi guys
I've never used this site before but i'm hoping to get some answers. I reserved a seat from bath to Falmouth two weeks before going with the 16- 24 rail card discount. When the day arrived I got on the train and at Bristol when the ticket person came around and asked for my ticked and my rail card. I realized that i had left it at home, so I assumed that I would have had to pay the difference. but the guy then tells me I need to buy a entire new ticket which was £78. You cant really argue when you are already on the train and cant get off, so I paid. But now have to pay for a return again without the discount. Just wondering if I could get a refund for the tickets I originally bought??
I would be grateful for any advice.
thanks

There's no harm in trying and a lot depends on what type of tickets you originally purchased,however, as it involves the trainline who are not the best when it comes to customer services I feel the answer back will be no.
Anytime tickets = refund minus admin fee
Off peak tickets = refund minus admin fee
Advance = no refund
