Caravaning Holiday Devon/Cornwall

Hi all.
Can someone recommend a holiday destination in either Devon or Cornwall please? As a child we spent many holidays in that area but apart from Newquay, which I hear has become a young persons drinking holiday destination, I can't really think of anywhere. We're wanting to stay in a static caravan on a site with good amenities (bar, shop, pool etc) which is also walking distance to the seafront and resort centre.
There will be myself, hubby and our 8 month old.
We're looking to go at the start of September.
Any ideas/recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I live in Glasgow and for the last 14 years we've holidayed in South Devon - Paignton. We go to beverley Parks Holiday Caravan Park. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, onsite entertainment, onsite security. Nature walk, creche and kids entertainment. Great for families.
Last year there was 10 of us and we got 3 caravans close together, Great time had by all.
It's at the top of a very steep hill 1 inj 16 gradient so you would really need a car but there is a holiday Park at the bottom of the hill and a few facing onto the beaches.
We always visit Dartmouth via the Steam railway and Blackpool sands, which is a fab-u-los beach.
lots to see and lots to do; Woodlands, Paignton Zoo.
My kids are now 12 & 15 and love it. Sadly we can't go this year as i've had to start Chemotherpy again, but I can't wait to go next year.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions. Might give Paignton a go. That was one of the places we stayed as kids. Whitehills caravan site if i remember correctly, in mum and dad's tourer . Oh happy days!0

Statics is the way, the tourer parks charge MORE than a static for parking your own caravan in a field in South Devon.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
