    I doubt it very much

You can pay off the Very catalogue balance online using a credit card and the Halifax card offers 3 months interest free on purchases - so you would avoid interest for 3 months and pay the lower Halifax card interest thereafter

Oh right, think she was hoping to do a balance transfer to avoid any interest and pay it off before the interest starts adding on. Will tell her thankyou.

You would have needed a card which allow balance transfer to a current account. Halifax offer this service from time to time but once the account has been opened for a while.
Your other option would be to pay the very balance with another credit card from either your daughter or yours (not a Halifax credit card) then transfer the balance of that card onto the new one to benefit the 0%....

It they have another cc then pay the debt off from Very and then do the balance transfer to the HX card from the cc you used to pay Very off.

However this would mean there would be a small fee of say 3% on the amount that is transferred.

Is it ok to do a balance transfer to someone else credit card, if so that might be the best way round it for her.

As long as it is not a Halifax credit card....but whoever decide to have the transfer done on his/her card then that person is fully responsible for the debt. You could pay very is one of your credit card if you have one then your daughter would just need to call Halifax and give your card details to have the amount transferred onto her new card

Is the card 17 months free for balance transfers or purchases?
If it is a purchase card use that to pay Very.
