Dearer than an axminster at most garden centres, they do sell it on ebay, worth checking there first.0

The material you require can be purchased "off the roll" and it comes in various grades and of course prices. Our local Poundshop had some on sale, it measured 6mtrs x 1mtr, it seemed rather flimsy but it worked for me, there again I wasn't walking over mine. Hope this helps.;)
PS, all good gardening outlets will stock this product.0 -
Worth checking your local builders merchants too!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0

Hi,
Just to let you know the fabric used for landsacape is called Spun Bond Synthetic, the best place to buy this from is KBT LTD (fabricuk.com) they sell it £2.25 per mtr, and it is 150cm wide, or you can order a 100mtr roll x 150cm wide as a bulk purchase £175 per roll with a postage of £9.99, available in back or white, 70grm weight0 -
Fabric you are not allowed to advertise your business! Reported. Also isn't it amazing how many first time posts recommending websites selling it have been replying!!!
Landscape fabric has many names (commercially) but is a geotextile.
(Mypex, Weedex, Hypex etc.are all well known names.)
It comes in different thickness (and quality) depending on the purpose you use it for (e.g. as a weed suppressant in a border or under gravel for car standing ) and prices rise accordingly.
I would go with the recommendations on here. Also Wickes sells it.
Basic : 20 x 1m = £16.99 (£0.85 per M) Buy 3 for £13.59 each
: 50 x 1m = £39.99 (£0.80 per M) Buy 3 for £31.99 each
Heavy Duty:12 x 1m = £14.29 (£1.20 per M) or Buy 3 for £11.43 eachGreyer by the minute - Older by the hour - Wiser by the day0 -
I'm amazed some people are using the thin stuff under drives and heavy traffic areas, where it won't do much good, or last. The proper geotextile for that, like Terram, is hideously expensive.
I use Mypex to create standing out areas, but putting gravel on top of that is dodgy, as it's very slidy stuff. OK in small areas maybe, but not for me. Maybe a heavy bark mulch would work on it, but I don't want a 40' x 40' cat litter tray, so I've given that a miss too!
I'm at the RHS tomorrow. Maybe I'll have a poke at the edge of their paths and see what they do.....or maybe not, as they're hardly MSE! :rotfl:0
