hi all
i took my bike to a scooter shop for repair, they diagnosed my problem as a worn drive belt, they replaced the belt and another part too but the problem is still there
ive taken the bike back but there saying they cant find anything wrong with it and basically im £150 out of pocket and the bike is the same, infact slightly worse with the new belt
am i entitled to my money back or do they have to fix it now they have diagnosed it wrong?
any advice appreciated
thankyou

What were/are the symptoms of the problem with the bike from your point of view?Hoping this year is better than the last.0

the bike is hesitant at full throttle after around 50mph
after 50 you have to use half throttle to get it to build up speed
the shop said it was hitting the rev limiter at 60 mph because the belt was worn but the new belt has just magnified the problem and made it slightly worse
i told the shop it felt like a fueling problem, they test rode it and put it on the rolling road and diagnosed it as a worn drive belt??0 -
supply of goods and services act 1982 - work should be carriedo ut with reasonable skill.
take it elsewhere - if they can fix it then go back for a refund from shop a. if its a really difficult fault to fix that the second shop spends ages workign it out then it may have been considered reasonable to try the repair shopA did.0 -

well i think i could do it myself, its either cleaning the carb out or valve clearance, not much to 4 stroke mopeds
i took it to the shop because i didnt have the time or tools to do/spend on it
tbh im not taking it anywhere else, ive laid out 150 already more than enough to spend on a moped annually
i want this shop to put it straight or give me my money back
paying 150 to have the same problem is annoying to say it polity0
