How old is the manure? If its well rotted then there is no delay needed. Root veg afen't great with manure i think...they fork.
I also top dress strawberrys etc with munure through the season if i have time....mainly because we have A LOT of manure0 -
It's well rotted manure would leeks onions etc be ok or brocolli cauli etc?0

Pumpkins and courgettes are very greedy plants, they would LOVE it. Also beans and peas, I think would do well.
As it is well rotted leeks would be fine as would brassicas, but I think manure is too nitrogenous for the onions, I suspect they would be more leafy and not bulb up so well?0 -
Oh I have a few pumpkin seeds that have germinated and I have loads of leeks will get them in over next couple weeks thank u
