Ideas for a 10th anniversary?

Hi, I am hoping to surprise my hubby on our 10th anniversary this year.

Has anybody done anything unusual that could inspire me? I have thought about the Northern Lights or perhaps a meal and show in London but I wanted something a bit more unusual.

Budget about £1k but not strict and would rather stay on this continent as have this odd thing about being on a different continent and leaving the kids behind.

Someone I know is also thinking of going to Iceland to see the Northern Lights for her 10th anniversary. No guarantee that they'd actually appear while you're there, but it would be a memorable thing to see/do.

Depending on the time of year, why not rent a boat and sail the Greek islands? My parents did that for their 15th anniversary and loved it so much that they dragged us all with them the year after. It was incredible.

I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but they had a few different sized boats - wooden, old-fashioned style ones which were brilliant.

I'd do a nice city break. I love any excuse to go to London and with £1000 you can do it in style. I've been to Iceland and it was the most fascinatingly odd place, but definitely worth going to, very nice people but not great food and very expensive drinks!

What do you really want out of it? Luxury, food, sightseeing, sunbathing?

We just went to Rome for our anniversary and had a great time. Although depending when your anniversary is Im not sure Id want to go there in the summer when its really hot.

My parents went to Iceland to see the Northern Lights and didnt actually see them, but still had fun doing other stuff! They really enjoyed Iceland.
