Santander CC , Yes or No ?

Would a Santander CC be a next logical step for someone who has now made the move from sub prime to mainstream CC ?
Started with Capitol One , Vanquis and a Flybe , built up a good record with all 3 and ran them for 2 years + , no defaults or late payments !
Now have a Nationwide and a Barclaycard with reasonable limits , Feel one more mainstream CC such as a Santander would complete my CC needs , will close the sub prime cards down if a Santander CC is issued !
What do you think of the plan ? and what do you think of Santander CC`s and service ?
All thoughts welcome !

If it is just about credit history building then two mainstream cards are already enough. Close down the subprime cards.

Over time maybe look to get a good cashback card and start making a small bit of extra money on what you already spend on credit card.

I started off with a Capital One Progress, then got a Vanquis and have just been accepted for a Santander Debenhams Credit Card.

The only problem is, though Santander is not sub-prime, their interest rates are. Though in my case, my Santander card is still the lowest interest rate of the three.

Another forum member said that the Debenhams CC is one of the easier ones to get (apparently).

I use all three cards every month for minor purchases and pay them off in full every month.

Be warned, if you opt for a CC managed by Santander such as Asda, Debenhams etc, you will have to suffer an overseas call center for customer services.

What makes you think 2 cards are "enough" and having 3 or possibly more wouldn't show better ability to handle credit?
