Consolidating Credit Cards

in Credit cards
Hi all,
I have 2 credit cards with balances of £6200 and £6800 and would like to consolidate the cards into one credit card.
How do I go about applying for one - in the past when I have tried to swap over the cards I only get offered enough for the balance on 1 card so when I transfer the balances I always have to have 2 credit cards
I currently pay over the minimum rate, I pay £160 on each card each month
I really want to get everything in one place on the same rate and then get rid of the other cards (I actually have cut up the existing cards so I cant use them anyway )
I know a Loan would be easier but I would pay them off in 3 years interest free if I swap (I know some credit cards now are offering a 24 month 0% offer)

So you have a 13k debt and want to borrow another 13k that's 26k of debt you will have from how a lender will see it, what's your salary?0

If in the past you've only been offered X, it's probably unlikely you're going to get offered X x 2 unless your income has changed as BugsyBrown suggests.
If you can only get a 0% deal for one of the cards though, that's still worth doing and then just focus on repaying the higher interest rate one first.0
