Have got to travel from Liverpool St station to High St Kensington at about 9 am on a weekday, looking on a tube map it looks about half way round the circle line, which is the best way to go, is one way likely to be bussier that the other? Not sure if the tube map is to scale.

Travelling clockwise takes a few minutes longer but is a through train

Anticlockwise you have to change at Edgware Road. but it's quicker

    Very little in it.

If you don't mind a change, you could do Liverpool Street to Notting Hill gate on the central line and then change onto a circle or district line train for the one stop or walk it.
  • Go via the Central Line and Notting Hill Gate.

And no, the tube map definitely isn't to scale!

I agree! The Central Line seems to have fewer delays during rush hour. I'd go west on the Central Line and then change onto the District and Circle Line or walk from Notting Hill Gate.

The Central Line also has less space per person than you would use to transport cattle. I'd give it an extra five minutes, and arrive without having the joy of London armpits shoved in my face.

    Clockwise. Easier, calmer.
