No sign of the sewing machines in Belfast :( For some reason you can't sign up for a store in NI, they keep defaulting to one in Scotland. Maybe not available here. I'm disappointed had a fun Easter planned making curtains...
  • I got the sewing machine too - a bit later than planned - and am really, really pleased with it! It's bigger and heavier than I expected, and although it has a fairly strong plasticy smell, it's a better build quality than I was expecting.

Now I just have to remember how to thread and work the thing!
  • Just to update on my aforementioned problem with the stiches...
    It was user error.
I've had the machine for probabaly about a year now... and only last night (despite reading parts of the manual several times) discovered the stitch width adjuster on the side of the machine below the hand wheel
I didn't spot the numbers before and thought it did nothing  :rolleyes2

    Hi

Been to aldi today and they still have knitting wool (baby, the packs of 5 balls and the packs of fluffy stuff)
Its the Blackpool store (I don't know if this store has had a lot left over or whether its been popular so they are continuing it.)
Either way its a good offer so I've bought a bit more (even though I've not finished the last lot yet.

Have other stores still got some left or is it just here?
