Supercard and R4 Revolution-eh?

I have decided that I'm gonna buy a ds lite from gadget-asia, and have seen the supercard and a R4 card thingy. Can someone just clarify the difference for me please?

Am I right in thinking that the supercard will let me watch movies on the ds, obviously I would need a memory card!?
I don't really understand what the R4 does

The R4 is a single cartridge system that uses the DS cart slot. It is very similar to the M3 cart. it has the boot info and card reader in a single device.

The supercard system uses 2 carts one in slot 1 and one in slot 2 1 is the boot card the other is a card reader that holds whatever you want.

1-what is an M3 cart?
2-What does a R4 cart do exactly-can I play movies on the ds or do i need the supercard only for that?

The M3 is an alternaive to the R4, they both allow everything
Moonshell is the homebrew software media player and that works on both. The difference between the R4 and M3 is the interface some people prefer one to the other.

A site selling both carts and it has info about the carts.

Cheers for that Little John. If I only want to play movies should I just stick to the Supercard- seems cheaper?
