Misinformed by Amazon Product page?

I bought from Amazon a product sold by a seller through Amazon. Price £148.99.
The Product page include Product Features "Special offer get an extra 2 free universal spray refills and an extra battery with this item" Value approx £25.
Item arrives but no extras.
I email seller through Amazon, pointing out that they hadn't included the free items to which they replied that the entry was a mistake and should not have been on the page. They maintained that they hadn't put the entry on, inferring that Amazon might have.
They offered to send a prepaid envelope to return the package if I no longer required it.
Seller emailed Amazon saying that the extra items should not have been on page. They hadn't asked for it to be put there and please remove it, which Amazon agrees to do.
I don't want to return original item which has now been used anyway, but the free items were an incentive to buy the main product.
Do I have any rights worth pursuing and if so, should I pursue it through Amazon or the Seller.

That could easily be seen as an action of acceptance.
What does it say on your invoice?0 -
The problem with amazon is that any pro merchant seller can add to or change the product text or the picture which can cause problems like this. Ive seen it a few times where a seller change it to add a promotion like this and it causes problems for all the other sellers selling the same product.0

I think you may have shot yourself in the foot by using it.

Not if the freebies were advertised as part of the original transaction but haven't been supplied (in which case SOGA would apply .. SNAD). In this case I think the seller is being fair in offering a full refund for the return of the goods. (OP doesn't say whether seller knows it has been used).
But I agree - knowing what the invoice (and also the order acknowledgement) say is important.
Also OP - do you have a saved screenshot of the original description?0 -
Yes I do have a screenshot of the original description, but as I'm a new user I can't yet post links
The invoice only shows the Masterplus Pro Kit + p&p. with no mention of the free items.
I did send them the screenshot showing the Product features.
I have not told them that it has been used, and now shows use.
the Seller wrote to me with
"Thank you for your email. Sadly, the description is incorrect in Amazon,
as the kit only comes with 1 refill and 1 battery. Sadly, we have no
control on the description of Amazon products.
We have now reported this error and copied you on the email."
Seems like an odd system to me, if they don't have control over the descriptions of what they sell

They have offered you a full refund, this would fulfill their obligations.Thinking critically since 1996....0
