i get paid every 4 weeks and have to jiggle the direct debits a few times a year, at the moment say my car insurance comes off on the 12th of the month, but will need to shift this by May since i get paid then on the 18th
its handy for me cos i didnt have the 5/6 week gap at christmas last year since i got paid on the 2nd then again on the 30th so unlike my friends on monthly pay i seemed to get through Jan without being skint0 -
Hi,
Ive been pid on a 4 weekly cycle for the last 21 years firstly on benefits as a carer and then in my employment I took up after that.
I have found the only way to deal with it is to budget on a 12 month year and to treat the 13th month (one month a year you will get paid twice) as a bonus month.
This means budgeting within what you get in the 4 weeks all your DD's etc which for all bar 4 months of the year is what it is anyway.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0
