Nationwide Flexaccount quiery

I need to raise a cheque for opening my Citibank Access acoount, I'm sure I read somewhere on here I could get a cheque payable to me from myself @ a nationwide branch from my account, can anyone confirm this and/or any applicable charges

thanks :)

No charges. You can either go to the counter and ask for the cheque, or use the machines if you have one in the branch. Put your card in, ask for cheque withdrawal and you enter the amount and use the keyboard on the screen to say who the account is to. the cheque is written from Nationwide so you would have to type in your own name as the receiver ie you can't put self or cash.

Can you not just write yourself a cheque out payable to you?

It surprises me that they won't upgrade you to the full account minus the debit card (ie, cheque book and ATM card) if you have a good credit history, etc.

    I have that and I'm 16.

Anyway, either draw a cheque from the counter or use an ATM, like suggested. No fee :)

Getting a cheque from Nationwide may not be sufficient, Citibank usually want a cheque for identification purposes.
Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
