So has anyone else got their Jubilee Carling delivered today?

2 of my friends have called me to say it's arrived after being told they couldn't have it, how strange now just need to work out how I can get some off them as mine has all gone on our street party.

    That's a good point.....the Carling promo was a bit of a mess.

Although my Mum and myself got the bottles, I can really sympathise with those that didn't.

I noticed that the BBE dates were July 2012 on my bottles. I think Carling released their special aluminium bottles a few months ago...but they didn't sell well. So, I think, Carling came up with this promotion as they had thousands of bottles which were approaching their BBE dates.

The deal was then posted on here and HUKD...with thousands taking up the offer (most registering on the Big Lunch website first followed by ordering the Carling seconds later). Carling realised that this was the case and that most people were not even throwing any form of Jubilee party celebration; so they decided to send out mass emails informing people were unsuccessful. But they still had approx. 300,000 bottles to give away and the Jubilee weekend was fast approaching.

I noticed that they opened up their registration again on the Carling website, but of course, people had reported cancellation emails, threads were expired etc. so there wasn't any exposure re: offer opening again.

So they must have thought, just send the bottles out to anyone who placed an order; even to those who had received cancellation emails.

So I'm not surprised that they probably still have a few thousand bottles left.

    That's what I think anyway.

Tried to get the half price pizza today with moc, only one scanned then second didn't, called Sa over and said it wasn't right pizza, gave one pizza back, and after a few minutes faffing she removed coupons ,removed pizza I gave back but then rescanned on of the pizza vouchers,

So seems to be working if you put through as singles, not multiple buys.
On the upside thanks to origianal op I got a great selection of the reduced sauces at asda.

    hi Rosie

You need 8 DIFFERENT comparable items, so 8 of the same lemonade wouldn't work. I usually get things like value kidney beans, chooped toms etc. Also, if the Muller yogs are on offer at A, then each different flavour counts as a separate comparable item. Or one banana, one onion, one apple, one carrot :)

I have lots of the 20p smart price gravy granules and 28p brown sauce/ketchup which are great for stews.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Have to join in the pizza debate, I like pizza but don't like the tomato sauce so I can only have made to measure pizzas plus after the tests I won't be able to eat them, gluten, cheese etc.

Off to rearrange the furniture to make way for new T.V. & recorder arriving tomorrow morning, I'm hoping to get the man to set it for tomorrows two football matches which I can't watch live, then out to see Nikkilala & Nannylala tonight no Tesco involved but I'm sure it will crop up in conversation

well finally tracked down at least part of my clothing order. They've had it for about 6 days and have only just found it. But they tell me that they have the skirt, but not the sandals. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Is the sandals that I really wanted for my girl. Plus according to the internet they're supposed to be in the same order! Same tracking number etc....

Is just not my day it seems. Will just have to content myself with my tidy cupboards. Went through my part of the bedroom yesterday and blitzed it. Needed doing as being pregnant some things don't fit anymore and its daft to have them in the cupboard when I don't need them or wear them.

Bedroom still needs work as it looks like a bomb site....and in about 4 months we have to get a baby in that room (although I have no idea how right now lol)

Other half has booked some holiday and paternity leave for around baby's birth (only 1 week paternity...just enough for me to get out of hospital and encouragement for me to get moving again). He's taken off 3 weeks holiday spaced around baby's due date. So if the worst happens and bubs is 2 weeks late I'll have 3 weeks of support from him when I'm feeling like an elephant. And then he can take over my 5 year old when he has his week's paternity leave and I'm in hospital having baby.

He still has a few days of holiday remaining so is possible that he can tag that on the end as well. But he works 7 days every 14 days so we should be able to manage quite easily (I hope)
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
