Beautiful sunshine here in the north east. Why couldn't it have been like this yesterday for all those having street parties.x

Just to mention it will be still worthwhile visiting your local asda today for all those random bargains. I was in one yesterday about 3.30 and very little had gone off the shelves. Bought a stash load of stuff and prompted several people to buy too. One lady was buying whole wheat pasta and I pointed her to the children's shaped whole wheat selling for 20p a bag. She bought a few but generally people didn't seem to be going crazy -like me.

This might sound a bit controversial but does anyone agree with me that the less affluent the area the less people are interested in money saving?

    Morning all!
Up super late today- couldn't believe the rain in London yesterday. We had fantastic blue skies and we all caught some sun at out street party :j I am sure the coronation anniversary should be celebrated annually - Loved it and the community spirit that it fostered.

Let's hope everyone local to me is eating leftovers today and not shopping... because a whoopsie run is on the cards for later! :rotfl::rotfl::)

a quick question for you guys doing JTD on the meal deal.....has anyone had this confirmed as a JTD yet? The reason I ask is that I thought Ts and As took into consideration the offer....and break down the price accordingly as a %.....so as an example (not accurate figures tho), the pizza would be £2, the Ben & Jerrys £2.28 nd the garlic bread 72p....thus generating a JTD of zero.

If I'm wrong, please tell me and I'll add this to my JTD shopping list for tomorrow!!! :)

Will let you know as soon as Price Check comes back......:)

Such a shame about the rain today, ruined the local street party as the green flooded and the miserable gits wanted to charge for use of the village hall!! Would of been nice to offer it so the plans could continue.
:(:(:( What rotten luck & to the charging hall
