Turbo
Turbo should have sad face. Older technology suits veggie oil better I'm afraid.
You need to look under the bonnet in the daylight and see if your diesel pump is a lucas or a bosch one. Bosch one should be fine (but you need to do some reading on google to satisfy yourself) but lucas ones are known to be troublesome.
OH's is a skoda 1.9 non turbo. Has a massive 64BHP so scares the crap out the local boy racers every time it rumbles off the drive!! :rotfl:
On the plus side, using 50/50 mix of veggie and derv it costs circa... £43 to fill up and on that it will do just shy of 600 miles.0 -

Oh I seeThank you very much for your help
I will have a look, see what's what but I am more than likely to continue filling up as usual, much as it may very well be an unnecessary expense. The thing is I'm rubbish with cars, technology etc etc and the only person that would know anything about it is my 'Dad' and I would just rather not go there, he loved to make me feel stupid!
Wow 600 miles on such a powerful engine is amazing :T
Mine will get 600 from a tank but then it's 1.4 however that's powerful enough for me. I do love my car
But thank you
O/T I missed much of The Voice last night, saw the result thoughWasn't Bo and Danny's duet amazing?!!! I love that song

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.0 -

My plans for the week are all awry - caravan we were to be staying in has had a burst pipe so needs to be fixed and dried out a bit before we can stay in it. Hope to be on our way later today or early tomorrow, at which point the rain will disappear and the sun will shine for the rest of the week

Morning all. Still raining here. Dragging DH out today for a browse round the shops. We need some stuff for the garden for planting out my cheapo plants I got from T&M in April.
May do a quick jtd shop, and an Asda womble. Can't get too much as I sorted and tidied my ' shop ' and freezers yesterday, and space is very limited, though the loft has potential if I put together the shelving I got earlier this year. A thought ....... if I put the shelving together and put it in the loft, it will give me more storage space in the shed!:p
I cleared and cleaned the conservatory yesterday. Doesn't it make you feel good when you see the results of your hard work? My big black cat wasn't impressed though. She gave me the evils when she came in from the garden, and spent a good while checking round, cos I'd moved everything.
I'm glad you like the photos. When DH gets round to putting more on the computer I will post some more. The beaches are amazing there. It is so nice to have a huge beach all to yourself, not even a footprint to show anyone else has been there.
I wish zippy and his DW had been there longer, there was so much more I could have showed them.
Anyway, I have waffled on enough. Hope you all have a lovely day, and luv 'n' hugs to all those in need, particularly to 3Dogs and Alan.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250
