Purdy that's absolutely absurd!!!! Your poor brother! What a worry that must have been :mad: Some people have no morals or conscience, totally baffles m

What he should of course have done is launched a counter suit for sexual harrasment for her trying to leap into his arms, coupled with the mental torment of her then trying to sue him. She'd soon retract her claim.

I echo the sentiments in Mad's post :D

SpirallingDown all your hard work was not in vain. The vast majority lucky to attend such a fantastic event will have gone away like this.....:D:D:j:D:D

Of course when it's a few selfish, nasties that feel their need is far superior to others, it's easy to get caught up looking at the negatives after all the effort you went to. But allowing them to cast a shadow over the ray of sunshine you brought to so many people today would allow them to win and losers should never, ever win. So chin up chicken and rest assured that they shall get their comeuppance.

What you and the fellow organisers of the fun day accomplished and how much effort you went to puts me to shame. Being so heavily involved in the local community and schools, you should be very very proud of yourself.

I hope your appendix held out and you're not in any pain. Please try and relax tonight and do something for YOU :Axxxx

I know the vast majority were happy to be getting such a great day for 50p (price of burger/hotdog) or free but was so disappointing for all the staff and volunteers to hear such negitive comments and the theft just made it so much worse.

I haven't always helped them out
I was supposed to start helping out with the summer scheme 3 years ago but DH got cellulitus the March of that year (2009) and I felt that I wouldn't have the time to look after him and help them at the same time. In the middle of that July we were in a serious car crash which left me unable to drive for a few months, then suffered anxiety when driving so seldom went out of the house but also had DH to look after so time flew and again I couldn't split my time between the two for after schools or when summer scheme came round.
By the start of 2011 we'd decided that no matter what I'd be helping that year, DH wanted me to get out of the house a bit more so that was decided. Then he died that April and by the May they were looking volunteers so I thought I may as well do something to keep my mind off things for a while.
It's only now that I realise just how much time I have on my hands because I don't have DH to look after anymore, it's took it long enough but I think it's finally hit me :(

    Goodnight all
    SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
    SPC 2014 £1100:D
