Hi, just wondered if anyone had bought any 1 p items this week? Strange thing just happened to me in an Extra store, so I dont know if it is store specific.

I found 4 more of the boxes of the Finest milk, white and plain chocolaate collection (these too were on a high shelf). Went through the SS till and they scanned at 1p. When I pressed to pay, it wouldn't total. Till just froze. I now wonder it if is something to do with the 20% off the finest, or just that this store has put something in place to stop the 1p items going through.

Nice young lad saying how strange, when super-trout appears and starts shouting at the top of her voice, 'oh no, you can't have those, we dont sell items at 1p, where did you find them from then?

Now I only go in this store when I am near the airport, so decided profile in there not a problem. 'I'll take them off you'. No I say, dont bother, I will go to the CS desk. "She wont serve you them either" she said "I want to know where you got them from, people make me sick with these 1p items". So I told her the seasonal aisle:rotfl:whilst I went to CS desk.

I had already been to CS desk 3 times price checking things (no scanner in this store) and there was a really sweet girl on there. I goes along, tells her I had just found a real bargain, 1p chocs, but the till had gone down, could she serve me please. She's laughing with me, saying what a bargain, and scanned the 4 boxes of chocs and to my horror, her till froze, it just wouldn't total or go back. She said she would have to call someone.

I said can I just give you the 4p as I am really in a hurry now and not bothered about the receipt. Yes, she said, if you have the right change. Fortunately I had.

Just gets to the top of the escalator when super-trout is charging along heading for CS desk looking like she was going to explode. Couldn't resist waving the bag of chocs at her. Was in two minds whether to complain about her attitude and shouting at the checkouts, but decided to quit whilst ahead.

i have just entered the results of three receipts i have and now have 222 points!!!!!!!! this looks so easy your an :A looks like i will be wombling everywhere from now on Thank You xxx

I'm glad it helped someone :) I just checked my wombles and already have 44 points from 2 receipts. Pampers will be a good one to look out for as they will give quite a few points cause of the price.

I have checked and it's 4 points for every £1 spent with receipts dated between 8/4/12 to 9/9/12, so plenty of time to collect those receipts. The lowest reward is a pin badge for 40 and the highest is a picnic set in a rucksack for 400, with other stuff in between, so well worth a go :)

There's a handy guide here of the brands included that you can print off too

I found the 'blue maggots' mit which Miss Laid kindly posted but it scanned at £2.47 in the Extra and the same in two superstores.

I also found the 2gb Sandisk which some found at 50p. This scanned at £5.00 in the extra and £4.99 in two superstores.

My other success today was more socks (thank you again Miss Laid). Found four pairs in an extra and four in a superstore, so worth keep checking.

I am in the HeadMasters Office now 4p - shaking in my [STRIKE]boots[/STRIKE] slippers

I have actually only been called into the HeadMasters Room twice in my school days ........... once coz I was bottom of the class and the following year coz I was top of the class .............. the reason for the drop in my school work that yearwas that I had been spending too much time at the stables trying to be near horses which I loved but my Dad banned me for a year and I got back into my school work :o:oLong time ago now ............ but 3Dogs has a good long-term memory

Large chickens are £2 per kilo in T's this weekend.

the £2.48 for A is per kilo, and £2.78 per kilo in T's. Even with JTD the £2 a kilo is cheaper. Just off to put one in the oven for sandwiches tomorrow

The £5 Roaster chicken is approx 2 kg and compares with A's at £2.48. We don't know why but who cares :D
Works out at £1.24 kg :)
