You seem to be the new whipping boy/girl for having an opinion!
first your accused of being a Wenban and then being a relative of bcw123?! a bit harsh to be fair!
I'm not sure why some have an issue with the Wenbans, they are just moneysavers like the rest of us!
So SW42, I would like to welcome you to the thread!!
and further more God save the Queen!!:D
He he, I don't mind, I've been around forums (not just MSE) and chat rooms  for long enough to have experienced much worse! But thank you for the welcome, even if I don't feel like a newbie as I've been following the 11+ threads for a long time!

Thanks, I also got the coffe scoop.
Talking of coffee, If I fancy a cup of nice coffee I use ground in my cafetiere, but have been thinking a while of buying a frothy coffee maker.
I don't want the old filter type machine, I got rid of mine years ago!
I like the pod machines but don't want to spend a fortune on the pods so have been looking at espresso machines.
I don't like strong coffee, prefer lattes, cappuchino's and hot chocolate.
Any suggestions of what to buy?
I love my frothy coffee - hubby bought me a Nespresso a few years back as he claims I just can't make a decent coffee - there are some lovely coffees to choose from think they range in price from about 27p per pod (it is awhile since I bought any) I think there are also cheaper alternatives out there now as well. the model I have at the moment has the aeroccino sat at the side and makes lovely frothy milk. You can also buy the aeroccino separately if you want to use your cafetierre (sp?)0 -

He he, we both said the Aeroccino would be good for Purdita. We obviously both have taste :T
I think it's a fabulous device (I drink my coffee black so wouldn't use it).
My friend did have a Nespresso machine and it was lovely. i think it's Costco that sell the pods or a cheaper alternative pod...Tiger

For the record, I don't dislike the wenban clan really. It's just a bit of fun and banter really. I'm sure anyone who can post a video of herself ironing on youtube is thick skinned enough to take a bit of ribbing.
I'm confused.......easily done, but who/what is the 'Wenban Clan'?0 -

It has a steamer bit to the side that you can froth your own milk to then do latte/cappucino etc. I don't like the idea of "pod" ones, I'd rather be able to just buy my coffee.
Another option is a fabulous thing called an Aeroccino, by Nespresso. I have bought these for 2 different people. It's like a tiny kettle but you put the milk in the jug (on the "kettle" base) and press a button for it to steam/froth/whip the milk in seconds. Very useful if you'd rather have milky drinks.
You could always just use your cafetiere, then use the Aeroccino for the milk part.
