I guess what confuses us is why, given you've only made 99 posts in 4 years (ie an average of 25 a year or 2 a month) you come to a thread you rarely post on and expend your 6 monthly ration of posts defending someone you don't know.

    Perhaps I'm being too cynical???

Yes, you are being too cynical. I try to post more often, but all too often life gets in the way. I see people often say that it doesn't matter, try to contribute when you can, which is why I post sporadically. Obviously, I hadn't realised I can only post if I agree with the main players of this thread.

Oh, and I'd happily defend anyone who I personally think is getting a rough deal, whether I know them or not.

Well done on making your 100th post. Not a very positive one though was it? :p

For the record, I don't dislike the wenban clan really. It's just a bit of fun and banter really. I'm sure anyone who can post a video of herself ironing on youtube is thick skinned enough to take a bit of ribbing. :D
  • Got DTD on First Cape wine today, thought I would push my luck as was not my usual store, so didn't mine getting noticed. 18 bottles of FREE WINE. Although they did try to palm me off with just the difference as they said DTD does not apply as I bought so much. I disagreed and requested to see the manager, and they refunded DTD. Do not think I will be frequenting that store, I don't do Trout.

Oh and one last thing.....I was having a play on T.com last night and am so surprised at what will work with the biscuit coupon!

Admittedly I haven't gone through everything but Ryvita multipacks, Cheeselets and cream crackers all work.

As do Go Ahead, Tracker bars and Cadbury Brunch bars (which are on offer for £1) and the 5 snack packs of fingers/jammie dodgers/cadbury animals etc etc

So definitely some bargains to be had :D

Time to stockpile me thinks ;)

Ello cupcake..........hope you are feeling on the up! :)

Oooh also I've noticed quite a lot of talk of the baking bits in Asda. I'm gutted that I didn't mention it as the chocolate cake covering and letters have been 12p and 25p in mine for about 5 or 6 days now and it probably would have been my first useful find! :o:o:o:o My store is clearing out lots and lots of lines so I thought it was store specific and didn't want to waste anyone's time :o

The Silver Spoon cake covering comes in milk, dark and white for 12p

The letters come in milk and white for 25p

A few things to add to the list (hopefully these are nationwide too!!)

Dr Oetker jelly diamonds = 25p

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271257080

Dr Oetker citrus strands = 25p

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271190134

Jane Asher Yorkie giant cookie boxed mix = 38p

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Home_Baking/Jane_Asher_Creations_Nestle_Yorkie_Cookie_Mix_370g.html

Carnation rice pudding and caramel rice pudding sachets = 8p each

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271136102

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=271136027

(thought the caramel is 30p on A's website so possibly store specific)

There was also a shortcrust pastry shaker pot type thing.....I didn't pay much attention but I am assuming it's one of those instant mixes where you add an egg/water. It's A's own brand and in a little shaker pot. Marked at 2 for £2 down to 30p each.

There's a twin pack of vanilla pods in a plastic tube for £1.49

Valentines sugarpaste decorations are around the 40p mark.

There was a sugarpaste cake ribbon down to 75p, not something I looked at in much detail sorry.

I think that's everything :o:o (I haven't bought any of this yet, it's all just from memory so sorry if it's too vague :o)

    Happy baking :D
thanks for that Fudge Cake.. I picked a few things up earlier but looking online now.

It's hard to be positive when it seems like everyone is being negative towards you

I hadn't realised, but thank you. I'm not one to watch number of posts/thanks I make/have received.

On a positive note... it's not raining :)

Hi it won't show on the website. The local stores put things on for sale that the larger Mr S don't do. It can vary from local to local store . I have three local stores very close to me they all have the sanex on sale but I haven't checked for the the imp leather yet as I have only been to one local today. I spotted the sanex last week.
    I hope this helps
