I did buy a couple of polo shirts from Hollister, they are nice even though expensive. I hate that shop though, so dark, need a torch just to read the label...:rotfl::rotfl:
..
Thank-you all for your suggestions :T:T:T:T
DD's friend takes a torch with her to Hollister for exactly that reason. Her mum was really surprised when she popped it our of her bag on a shopping trip.0 -
Not sure if this has been posted.
'Tesco was like the Wild West. I had to kill or be killed': Terry Leahy reveals how he turned unruly stores and bullying bosses into a £35bn successIt was my first major project, and I had to talk about it in front of the entire senior team — about 60 people.
When I finished, the insults began. ‘You’re really out of your depth here, Leahy.’ ‘You haven’t the first idea what the hell you’re talking about. Just who do you think you are?’ ‘Are you trying to tell me how to do my job?’
Certainly, no one back then could have imagined that I’d one day become chief executive of the whole company for 14 years.0 -
I am annoyed with the Nationwide now. I tired to set up a standing order this morning online - simple enough job you would think. It let me go so far with the process but then it said I should be using this cardreader thingy that they sent me. I dont use this cardreader thingy for anything else - just log in as normal so why the extra security to set us a standing order  So now I have to drive into town and pay for parking and I hate my nearest town so it put me in a foul mood.
I also checked to see what interest I got this year - that was a bit of a shock £17Last year it was £155 - no massive spending sprees to account for the drop. In fact eldest son got more than me £17 and he has not put anything into his savings for the last 18 months
Makes you wonder why you bother.
Before the recent increase in the cost of stamps I treated myself to a small stockpile of stamps. Since the increase my stamps are now worth £38 more - so savings for a year gave me an extra £17 but the value of my stamps went up by twice the ammount in a matter of days
Savings rates are pretty pants at the moment. Nice for those with a variable rate mortgage (which I do have).
I used to work at Nationwide and I think the extra security is to double check the sort code and account number you want to send the money to is correct and more importantly it is the account holder setting up the standing order. You also have to use one to transfer money to someone elses account. Much as it's a pain it's to keep your money safe. Barclays use them too and with them I even use it to log on.
I'm not sure why you had to go into town because they said you the card reader. Maybe you don't have it. The card readers are interchangeable between banks, it doesn't matter which one I can lay my hands on both work for Nationwide and Barclays. It's also worth getting a spare, mine often go into hiding.0 -
Hi guys and girls hope you are all enjoying the weather.
I have started couponing and I'm getting stuck. When on super savvy and clicking on coupons, even ones I've never printed it says I've reached my limit!?
What print limits are there?
Any tips?0 -
