I see that Lucozade shots have made a reappearance in my local store :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:
Bet they are no longer 1p
Hmmmmm, I'm running low on teabags using the Clipper 1p clip strp packs and the free samples of Best of Both Tetley in the goody bag that pharmacy hand out when I go to collect meds
I'm also running low on Spenda, I wonder if they are still in any stores now at 1p ? :cool:There's no place like home

The stats would suggest that it would very much deter lurkers. This very thread, started 9 days ago has at time of posting racked up 131,790 views. Which would place it in the top 10 currently active Grabbit threads. And easily in the top 200 threads of all time. Don't think it's well-hidden in It's Gone, that may have been the case at first but everyone and his dog knows about it now. It's got to the stage that it probably wouldn't make a blind bit of difference if the thread was fully out in the open.
Whereas the most viewed thread ever on DT has 81,721 views, the second most viewed has 34,066.
I think it's better to discourage lurking not by excluding lurkers altogether, but by encouraging them to participate... Which is why I think a temporary move to DT would be advantageous. And be very public about it. It's far easier to pluck up the courage to join in if you've already gone through the registration process.
After having a thread there, and no doubt thousands of freshly registered MSEers, move it back where it belongs. A few more threads here, then rinse and repeat...
We could even run a competition to estimate the number of registrations during the away period
Hmmmmm, naa, I'm not convinced sorry. It would in my opinion make some people feel unwanted, unwelcome. Even less likely to post on the thread for fear of not being welcome. We don't want to snub newbies now do we??
Yes, it took me ages to post my first time and no I don't contribute much myself as my store is small. However, I have been taking advantage of other people posting on here so have made a special trip to another Ts to get the glitch,
this makes me a lurker no doubt and one that should be detered from being hereThere's no place like home

Hiya guys - I'm back and all is well :j :j We moved from my sister's house to my niece's on Friday afternoon when my sis came back from her hols, and I haven't been able to get online till now
via dongle borrowed off my sis
We drove up to meet my Sister and BiL at Newcastle Airport lunchtime Friday and she was so surprised to see us ...... and delighted too :j :j So we had a good natter about her hols when we got back to her's. Alan was fine and enjoyed the natter too. After a couple of hours I got our things together and they helped to put them in the car, and we drove round the corner to my niece's house to stay there, to mind the house and look after their cat. Alan went straight to bed once we got round there and I got out gear out and sorted, then picked my sister up for us to go see Mam as sis was eager to see her after 3 weeks. Mam was good and we had a nice visit, though it was hard to get Mam to identify me as Susan and Sis as Anne
We planned on seeing Alan's family on Saturday but didn't get out anywhere as Alan was too exhausted and feeling the heat too. My sis visited Mam at lunchtime and I went teatime, picking up a couple of pizzas on the way home. My sis came round in evening for an hour and we had a good laugh, and she took half a pizza home for their supper
So, Alan planned on ringing his Dad and rest of the family to arrange visits today, but was shattered again and had the pain across his wound, so stayed in bed. My Sis had visited Mam at lunchtime and said that nurse had told her to 'just use inhaler on Mam as they'd forgotten to order ampules for the nebuliser' which she was less than happy about, but 'luckily' we had stashed a few ampules over a few months as this had happened before plus we sometimes give Mam double if her chest is badso sis gave her one of these and I went down at teatime and used another, leaving 3 spare. Hoping they get supplies in tomorroww as Mam can't do without these, and struggles to get sufficient meds from any inhaler
I had left my mobile at home as Alan was up and ok, so I'd said for his to ring family to sort out seeing them, and when I got back he had spoken to them all. We went down to his eldest son's at 7.30pm for an hour tonight and sat in the garden chatting to him and his lovely partner which was lovely. His son is not at all well himself as was diagnosed with Addisons disease last year and needs to carry jabs with him in case of emergency to keep adrenalin levels steady
Tomorrow, we are going to see his youngest son and his wife, then take son to Alan's Dad's house to see Dad and Sister, plus his brother and wwife are coming over there to see him too, so it will be a right good family get-together
So, although Alan is still weak and too tired to do much at times, we are getting out and doing what we want and need to do :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

It was el scorchio there yesterday.
Beautiful place. Someone (obviously loaded if the cars were anything to go by) was holding their wedding there yesterday.
They were posing for pics on the bridge overlooking the lakes and the reception was being held in the private quarters.
Has there been any news on Toni's wedding yet?
It's Danielles wedding this week and Biscuitmad is getting married soon too.
Hope the weather holds for you Danielle.
So do I. But i am not too hung up about it. To be honest it has been far too hot this week. Had my final dress fitting yesterday and i thought i would be so hot in it if it was the same temperature it has beenI am never happy
If it's nice we get to drive the golf buggy out on the golf course and have pictures taken.
Glad you had a lovely weekend away.

I tried one a month or so back when I found them in a store I don't go to so often - they scanned at full price so had to get them taken off the shop
Off to bed now - goodnight all0 -
3dogs and Mr3dogs lovely to see your post, wondered where yo were last night.
It's probably too much heat knocking Alan out, so he will have to take it easy after he has been to his dads I think.
You sound as though you've both been enjoying your time at home and it's great to hear about mam. It's a shame that she's not recognising you and Anne but I guess it can't only be expected, and I don't mean that to sound nasty or anything but I'm sure you know that.
Weather should be turning cooler by Thursday, where will you be then?
Take care of yourself Susan as you need to be the well and strong one xxThere's no place like home
