Moving 60kg up two floors

Options
Hi

I live on the second floor in a flat without lift. I've just ordered a 60kg treadmill, but I was just told that the courier will only take it to the front door of the ground floor. It won't be possible for me to drag 60kg up two floors! Could anyone please suggest some solutions?

Thanks!

Find two friends? Three people should be able to manage it fine.

    Possible solutions:
    1) Politely ask the courier if he would mind giving you a hand up the stairs with it when he arrives.
    2) Offer the courier some beer money to help you carry it up the stairs.
    3) Hope it requires assembly and that you can unbox it on the ground floor and carry it up in pieces.
    4) Dismantle it and carry it up in pieces.
    5) Ask a friend to help you carry it up the stairs.
    6) Keep it on the ground floor.

I'm quite experienced in moving treadmills around. Treadmills usually come with most of the weight in the main unit, the loose parts in the box won't remove much weight. Also, they can spring open when out of the box and not assembled.

The ONLY solution IMO, leave it in the box and get someone to help lift it!

My OH has just had a slate bed pool table delivered to 2nd floor. We paid the company to take it up and install it. 2 beefy men managed OK. I'd go for ilikewatch's solution number 2.

Leave it on the ground floor, unless you're ready for the complaints about the noise from those who live on the first floor....

The residents on first floor will soon be moaning at you about noise so you wont be able to use it anyway.

Order a £600 bench press, £400 worth of freeweights and £350 worth of creatine. Pay 2x labourers £50 to take them up your stairs. Work on this equipment for six months, until it looks like you can pulp a cucumber under your pinky. Then lift the treadmill yourself, simples
