I am about to buy a new hp g6 1239sa laptop from very for £439,
before I press the purchase button, I wondered if anyone could advise wether this is a good buy,
I use my laptop for photos, internet, the kids use it for homework and gaming.
Thanks

have you looked at one in a shop, tried the keyboard/mouse, does it meet the specs of the games you want to play?
The red one is cheaper

this snapshot of reliabilty is a few years old, but worth noting

There will undoubtably be cheaper options with similar specs if you look around

what sort of games are you looking at as this can seriously change the suggestions given, so is it flash based games (disney mini games etc) or more 'normal' instal games (sims, call of duty etc)
otherwise in general the price is a bit expensive for the spec on a HP system and using another retailer would likely get the same spec system cheaper or a better spec system for the same money (or are you needing the finance option, and have no spare balance on a credit card?)
have you also considered going refurb? as plenty of refurbs these days come with a 12 month warrenty/garenteeDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
I just got a 1220 SA for 320 Its nice, it works and its cheap...
