For me, l think both types of product are only good if you do your hard research on it. They seem to both have their own advantages and disadvantages just depends on your attitude to investing.
Personally l'd do my research and rely on others (fund managers) to invest for me at the knowledge that they take a proportion of the cut and cross my fingers.
THe other hand l just sit tight and save as much as l can to accumulate a decent amount for that rainy day and when there is a time the market crashes that is the time l go for it and use my money on trackers l think.
Any comments would be nice.
