Echoing the other posters, Tatton Park in Knutsford (Cranford as written by former resident ,Mrs.Gaskell) , Knutsford Heritage Centre in the town, lovely. CS both here and in Alderley Edge, Hale and Wilmslow highly recommended. The gardens are also lovely at Quarry Bank Mill and Dunham Massey.
I feel very fortunate to live here as there are so many great places to see, I can also recommend the gardens at Biddulph Grange a bit further south x
