Help - What do I need to do

My house sale has fallen through today, just wondered what I need to do!

I've informed the EA of the house we were buying
My EA have put my house back on the market.

But - do I need to let my mortgage broker know and the surveyors? The survey was carried out today so will receive it next week, not that there is any use for it now!

Any help appreciated.
I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few!

    Oh Noooooooo :(

    What happened?

Yes, you need to tell your mortgage broker and your solicitor to put things on hold with your purchase for the moment. you don't want to spend any more than you need to :(

Well as you know they were getting electrics and damp looked at and had sent a builder up. He basically rang me today (before his damp specialist had even been up) and said that the electric report suggested that the house MIGHT need a re-wire. My mum was here when the electrician was round and he said that in the odd room the wiring was about 30 year old as was the fuse box, but in all everything looked fine - but it depends how the client interprets it. As we know our buyer is over cautious and has once again freaked out! I just can't understand how he thinks he can buy a house over 110 years old and expect everything to be perfect. A house that it is in immaculate decorative order and at least 10k cheaper than every other house going up for sale around here. Anyway thats his choice I'm just annoyed that we've wasted 2 weeks messing about with him.

I just hope that we find another buyer soon and then we can still have the house we had our hearts set on. The irony is when he rung our survey was being carried out on the house we want! 550 quid down now :-(

    What a shame :(

We'll think positive :) but sometimes, if you do lose the house you want to buy and you ask really nicely, the mortgage company might do the second valuation for nowt (I doubt you'd get the full Homebuyer's though you could try selling it to any subsequent buyers)

How do we go about that?
