Kos, I really disliked! we were stuck out in some tiny (but not quaint!) village- but Zante was great- I stayed at a place called 'hotel commodore'

Hi there,

Families are always welcome in Greece in our experience, we have been taking our little one since she was 1. I would avoid the 18-30 resorts though (Kardamena, Kavos, Faliraki, Laganas).

There is (was 4 years ago) a lovely waterpark not too far from Tingaki, tour buses go to it or we hired bikes with child seats. See http://www.koswaterpark.com/.

Also take a look at Lassi in Kefalonia - lovely resort, shorter flights and transfers and a brilliant sandy beach. Try to get accommodation that is not too far up the hill though, some of it is quite a walk in the heat with little ones. No waterpark nearby though that I know of.

Nightlife in both resorts is pretty limited but plenty of Tavernas and one or two bars for chill out time. Easy access to Kos Town or Argostoli respectively for more options.

Just wanted to let you know, we have booked a week in Parga in the first week of July for £186 per person inc flight, hotel and transfers! It's through Olympic Holidays which I know have mixed reviews, but could not really pass the deal up. Checked the hotel reviews on Tripadvisor too and they are mainly positive.

Was really pleased with finding this bargain, as Parga is not somewhere I had ever heard of before and would not have thought of looking at had it not been for this thread.

Looking forward to my holiday, thanks once again.

What a fantastic bargain! Since you said you loved Lindos and Skiathos (as I did), I am sure you will also love Parga. A friend recommended it to us, we probably wouldn't have thought of it either. Have a great holiday.

Its actually on the mainland, flying to Preveza Airport.
Fantastic price at £186, well done OP! Before going to Parga, Lindos and Skiathos were my favs so I am sure you will have a great time.
