DFS Not as Described

We purchased a £2500 leather corner sofa from DFS in June 2010 and 3 months after delivery the seats had started to sag and were becoming uncomfortable.
When DFS sent out a service manager he took the seat apart.
Me & my partner were shocked what we saw, as at the time when we purchased to sofa the women who dealt with us had insisted it was pocket sprung and went on to say it was like sitting on a pocket sprung mattress and it would never sag. The whole reason why we decided to buy it!
It was actually webbing and not sign of a spring.
After the service manager had put some extra padding in, that forced the seat out of shape he explained it would settle down and he left
We contacted them again and again as to why we was sold a pocket sprung sofa that was not actually pocket sprung but they rejected what that they never claimed it was pocket sprung.
I won't bore you with every minute detail but DFS are a joke.
Where can we go from here as other posts on here they don't seem to take anything seriously!

Complaining 2 years after you got the sofa delivered is a bit late...your options are I would say nil. Why did you not complained to their head office at the time? You should have insisted for a replacement or some sort of refund...0

Got the same problem. Went for the premium range and still got sh@fted! Did you get interest free credit?
I'm sure I've read on these forums that if you do then they've got a case to answer too.
Put in the search bar dfs problems and you might have a better answer, HTH0 -

When I once working as a field engineer, any part that came out of the stores that didn't work was sent back as DFS...defective from stock. Sums this company up methinks.0

I doubt there would be much you could do as its been so long since you bought the sofa.
Send a recorded letter to head office then back that up with a phone call - I find this usually gets you into a position where you can at least speak to someone higher up. Again, I doubt they will accommodate a refund or replacement but you could argue you where miss-sold, which might get them to do something.0 -
She said it was "like" a pocket sprung bed. She didn't say it "was" pocket sprung.
Surely after 2 years it would be considered that you've accepted the item by now.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
After two years I think you have a hard job to get anything out of this one.....we rejected DFS when we bought last year due to pushy salesmen and the fact their sofas looked tatty and poorly made."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
