Advice please re. widescreen TVs

I'm looking to buy a 28" widescreen TV but am confused by the different terms used e.g. pure flat, super flat, real flat etc. I just want one that has NO curvature (concave or convex) but simply FLAT.

Any recommendations for a model in this style from one of the more quality manufacturers (not your Beko's, Matsui's, Pacifics of this world) - it also has to be black NOT silver?

Plus should I go for 100Hz if I can?

Thanks

All of the silly names containing the word 'flat' are just different ways of saying FLAT.

Manufacturers just taking consumers for a long confusing ride again....instead of being CLEAR!

100 hz..? I dont like it - see my previous thread.....

i'd go to a shop and try 100mhz. Ask them to rig up a DVD player as this will give you best indication of what 100mhz looks like. Take a fast moving dvd inc possibly sports esp football if you have any. Will let you decide for yourself if the blurring effect is evident.

Also by looking at the normal feed used in shops you can probably tell how badly it can perform. At 28inch you may be happier with 50mhz as seeing the 50mhz flicker only really occurs on larger screens. Best way is just to test the tv's in currys/dixon etc and then buy online
