Credit Searches not on credit report

in Credit cards
Hi,
I recently applied for a Credit Expert trial and noticed my electoral roll information was not linked to my credit report file.
After being on hold on their (5p per minute from a BT landline) number I managed to get through, the agent added another variation of my current address which resolved the issue and as a result my electoral roll details appeared on my file whithin 24hrs.
One week later, confident that the electoral details were linked to my name and address I applied for a basic credit card though a CC company which I knew only use credit expert for the credit searches. (my logic was to avoid a credit card company searching Equifax and CallCredit as I do not know what information they have on my file.)
Eventhough all my efforts I was declined the credit card. (I did get confirmation the agency used for the search was Experian and that it would leave a search print on my credit file with Credit Expert.)
All of this was almost 2 weeks ago and to this day there is no search print on my credit report file which leads me to believe when I applied for the credit card the credit search was not matched to my file at Experian (Credit Expert).
Why would the search not show on my CR file at Experian?
Could it be the same reason to why my electoral roll details were not initially linked to my file?
The address on my Credit Expert file and the address provided when applying for the credit card was the same.....it looks like regardless of how many applications I potentially make, none of them would be accepted because they would not be matched to my report at Credit Expert.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks.

Do you mind me asking who you applied with?
You may be reading too much into it, it doesnt necessarily mean they arent linking you properly - the searches sometimes take a while to appear on Credit Expert, and also every lender has their own criteria, so just because you are declined with one doesnt mean you will be with others.:xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:

I applied for the Post Office credit card which I know only uses Experian for the credit search.
I know it takes a while for searches to appear but it doesn't take almost 2 weeks. Normally if should be whithin 24 hours or a couple of days.
I feel my concerns are valid as if the search did appear on my credit report file then I would accept the decline based on my personal circumstances and application answers but the search is not of my file.... has anyone had credit card rejections which did not appear on their file?0
