Shaky steering while driving?
Any ideas on what this could be? Occasionally when driving my car the wheel starts like vibrating and it can be hard to keep the car on the road, I have to slow down but you can feel the vibrations right through the car, I thought maybe the wheels need lined so go that done and made no difference, It tends to start when I go over a speed bump or something and wont stop until I stop the car for a while. Its a Zafira by the way

a shocker with no gas would give this fault
see it as tank slap on a bike0 -
Loose suspension components, loose hubs, wheel bearings - could be anything really.0

As above, its possibly a useless shock absorber, when a wheel hits a bump the resulting shock goes undamped, if the wheel is out of balance at a certain speed it all comes together to perpetuate the bounce till you slow down enough to stop it.
Obviously check all other steering/drivetrain components, particularly CV joints.0 -
As above and get the wheel balance checked, have you been off road in the car? is there any large lumps of mud trapped on the back of the wheels?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

How you line a wheel???"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Could be anything from cracked drive shaft to a dented wheel. Take it to the local garage, ask them to give it a quick drive and they should have a good idea the likely cause. Different vibrations, at different speeds, whilst performing different maneuvers is a great way to work out the likely issue behind such vibrations.0

This may sound silly, but have you checked the air in the tyres? If they are not properly inflated you can get this vibration thingy (technical term ).I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Its a local term for getting the wheels balanced, they got balanced and the mechanic checked the pressure and tread of tyres, all was fine.0 -
Wheel balancing and alignment are two different things.
Did you have the alignment checked at the same time? This costs around £20.
