I have been thinking about getting a motorbike, what is the best way to learn - to do a CBT and get a 125cc bike for a while (not what I really want) or do a direct access course. this saves the cost of the 125 bike but I guess the practice would be useful. Not sure it makes any difference but I passed my car test in 1983.

spoken to training centre they suggested a taster leson which i will book, this will be on a 125cc, if i like it he suggested i go for another leson but on a 600cc machine and do the das, but he was of the veiw that a low powered bike may be a good idea to get road savvy - an trial bike has beeen suggested as less likely to show signs of damage whilst learning. the training centre suggested a sym machine - any views
