A positive balance on my Tesco CC

in Credit cards
I paid some of my money off on my Testo credit card, just as my monthly direct debit also paid off some of my credit card on the same day. As a result, my balance has now go into credit so to speak and is showing as a minus - balance.
Is this a problem?. I have never gone into credit on a credit card before and didnt know it was possible! Its not going to cause any problems I hope.

If you use the card then positive balance will be used.
If its a lot you can give them a ring to get it back0 -
Thanks for the response. Its less than £40 so ill soon use it up.
I really want to cancel this card, so do I just get my balance to 0 and then call them to cancel it?. How long to show on your credit record that you no longer hold the card as I would like to go for another 0% card?0 -

I recently closed a credit card (not a Tesco one) that had a positive balance on it, and they sent me a cheque for the balance. I believe any credit card will do this.0 -
Shouldn't be a problem, although the £40 left won't attract the same credit card protections like joint liability etc as your not technically using the credit facility. (I was told this many years ago by citibank when a refund put my card in credit)0
