Check Credit Score

Hi,

What is the cheapest way to check my credit SCORE? I want to see if it has improved over the last 6 months or so since I took out a new mortgage & credit card & all payments on time.

I have used free trials on experian, equifax and checkmyfile in the past and their websites detects this so I am guessing I will have to pay this time round. I am just wondering where is the cheapest or if there is another way of getting a trial?

Thanks in advance

Credit score is a waste of money and is meaningless....each lenders will have their own criteria before lending to someone

I think you can send a letter and a cheque for £2 to expeiran and they send you it.

    - I do it for a pint of larger
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

The credit score that the Credit Reference Agencies give you is not the same as the score that they give banks.

There is no way of finding out your actual credit score.

Hi. I agree with the replies you have had about the score given by the credit agency being sort of pointless.

But, if it is of any use, I signed up with https://www.noddle.co.uk. You can view your credit score with them. Mines changes from 4 out of 5 to 3 out of 5. At the minute I am 2 out of 5 as I made a late payment on a card last month.

I think the score if pretty pointless. But that site could be a good first port of call if you are interested in your score. The information they supply is taken from the database of Call Credit.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    :)

Ok, I was given a score by Checkmyfile last time which my broker asked for...and I just wanted to see if it had improved.
