the sun 15 quid hols

hi folks, i recently booked a holiday through the sun.Its the first time ive done a sun holiday before but heard theyre really good. But can anyone answer me a couple of questions? a)youre meant to get an email to say that they have processed your application but how long does this take roughly and b)youre meant to find out if you have a booking by 30th may. Has anyone heard already? reason im asking is cos ive put dates for during school summer hols but ive also asked for a date that falls the week before they break up??? and knowing my luck, ill get offered that week lol so will need to know what dates ive got incase i need to apply to take kids out of school a week early manythanks

I'm the same, had never done a sun holiday before so had to do the old fashioned pigeon post. I posted mine off as soon as I had all the first 8 tokens (on 27th April) and have just had an email from them (22nd May) telling me my application was unsuccessful
So it's obviously taken them a while to go through the postal applications which unfortunately means the newbies like me have missed out on their dates/parks

    Thanks Rachie
They emailed a link so I can have a look to see whats left incase there is somewhere else we would like to go or a different date, but there's nothing suitable left for us. If I haven't choose an alternative by 6th June then they will send my cheque back to me.

Yes fingers crossed for next time. As a single parent working as a childminder I cannot afford the full price the parks charge if I go directly

Rachie B - Yes I'm going to keep checking just in case some extra dates are added. Can't have time off in Oct so really need Aug dates and school hols too.

holidaysforme - Yes I'd heard they normally do some more hols later on, so fingers crossed for next time :)

    Thank you both xx

I have just had a look on the booking site, notice they have cut alot of dates out, as the only holiday we would have liked to have booked was on mon 20 aug but notice that is not an available date now, but did notice that they have added in oct half term, and ironically i can get one of the parks i wanted for the summer in oct half term(Haven thorp park, or Haven golden sands), but it is still showing as a £15 holiday, well i dont want to be paying £15pp for an oct half term holiday when in previous years they have been £9.50, why have they done this, or will they be doing another lot of £9.50 holidays later in the year?, i am quite tempted as wont get holiday this year otherwise, but dont really want to be paying £15 when i could pay £9.50 if you see what i mean
Take every day as it comes!!
