Credit card with £6k limit?

I am planning on purchasing a conservatory and need a Credit card with a limit of about £6500 is this possible? I was going to cash in an Isa that has run 2 of the 3 years but the interest rate is 4.4% and I would incur a penalty of about £200. A 12 month 0% credit card would be the answer but I thought the credit limit might be a problem... Thanks.

All depends on your credit history and what current cards or debts you have, there's not really a yes or no answer as it would depend on your circumstances and who you are applying with as well.0

Excellent credit history no debt except Mortgage I was wondering the best CC company to try and what sort of limit people have been offered0

you can do a pre check for nationwide, that will tell you what apr and credit limit you would get, not sure if they do a 0% for 12 months . it wont affect your credit searches either.0

Barclaycard seem to give high limits in my sample of one, they gave me a limit of £18k when my highest other one was £8k. Completely OTT:xmastree:POMDB Xmas 2013 Board - Paid off £12k in 2012 :j:j :xmastree:

MBNA branded cards and cards form the MBNA stable have historically given the highest limits for a number of years now. Even by todays post credit crunch standards £6.5K is not a high limit to be given assuming you have a good/excellent history.
I would say Barclaycard Platinum are probably the next best.
It's pointless asking what limits others have as you won't be comparing like with like. You may only get £2K whereas somebody else with a remarkably similar history could get £20K !0 -
My other half just got accepted for a Barclaycard Platinum with a Fair credit history. Limit he got accepted for was just shy of 6k and with 0% on balance transfers for 16 months, 1.6% handling fee.
Tesco CC are also very generous with their credit limits, excellent purchase and balance transfer offers on the card and Tesco clubcard points too! Might be worthwhile signing up for the free trial on Credit Expert to check what your credit score is and use the card matcher tool to find companies that are more likely to accept your application.
Good luck! Thanks to everyone for the comp links
