A few times in what period of time? I know about chances, I want the statistics. How often one person usually wins? Is it once a month or only once a year or even less often?

It can be twice in a week and then nothing for a year.. or nothing at all, ever.. or a few months apart.

There's no routine to it, if there was a routine then winners really wouldn't be picked at random would they.

My question was asked exactly to find out whether to bother doing that or not.

But how can anyone make you decide if it's worth doing or not.

If the chance of winning is worth 5-10 minutes of your time each day then yes you should bother to do it, if it's not worth the effort on the basis that you may not win, then don't bother to do it. It's not rocket science. :)

Maybe this isn't as statistically correct as you'd like it to be, but i think it's as good as anybody on here can say to you.

Why should I accept wrong answers?

Why do you assume that all answers were not accepted? I appreciate the answers which answered my question.

I did not realize when asking that simple question that it will create so much confusion amongst people here.

There is nothing complicated in answering my question. I was going to analyse the results of it not you. So I still do not see a problem.

I don't think people thought they were giving you 'wrong answers', just be gracious and acceot that they tried to help, even if it wasn't exactly what you wanted to hear!

Also, regardless of how many answers (results) you get on here, you will not get all the information you need to make a correct analysis of the frequency of winning. Not everybody who enters/wins the competitions posts on here, or reads the whole post, not everybody on here who does them will answer etc etc. Personally i have won twice, last year and a few months or so apart from each other (about 5 i think).

Personally i find it worthwhile.. 5 minutes a day isn't a great deal of time. Maybe you could do the quiz's whilst doing something else (you could get a laptop and take it to the toilet with you if you really want to use your time in the best way) or whilst you're waiting for something to finish (kettle boiling or whatever), that way you're not wasting any of your time? ;)

    :j

I joined in April 2005 and my Daughter joined in Jan 2005 neither of us has ever won anything and we both enter the competitions every day.

I think it maybe has something to do with the time that you enter the comps?
I stay up late and do mine at about 2am and Daughter does hers about midnight.

If you wish to work out the chances of winning you should maybe start by keeping a daily record of all of the daily winners and asking them what time they enter each day?
