I've managed to amass 900 piggy points, but getting those last 100 before I can claim a voucher is proving very difficult - haven't seen a CT in a long time.
Pam
Hiya Pam, if you havent already, try cheching your 'categories of interest' under 'your account' and double check that they are all selected/ticked. The selections you make will determine your clickthoughs, select ALL categories, Clickthroughs (CT's) should come through every Monday, early afternoon. Hope Ive helped and not stated the obvious,
All the best for getting you're voucher Hun, won't be long now xxxThis above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. (SHAKESPEARE, Hamlet, 1600) :kisses2:

Redbedhead wrote: »Ok, contacted Pigsback re not yet getting points for a referral link and got the following response.
PiggyPoints for a successful referral are credited within a day or two of a reward being claimed.
I have checked your Refer a Friend records, and although you have sent 1 referral, I am afraid this has not been taken up.
In order for your referral to be tracked and eligible for PiggyPoint crediting, the person you are referring must register via the referral link that is sent to them in an e-mail, I am afraid your friend did not register via this link, and therefore your referral is not eligible for the PiggyPoint crediting.
Now the referral was for my Husband and I actually watched him click on the link to join Pigsback as I then showed him around the site.
Anyway to prove he used the link?
I guess you could first off ask if the person that you referred (ie the email address) has now registered with pigsback and claimed their first reward. They're clearly going to say yes, so maybe then you could argue that regardless of if their tracking system actually tracked it, that you have obviously referred them to pigsback because you can give them the email address, day of signing up and the fact that you know they have claimed their first reward etc.
At the end of the day, if they can see that you did send a referral to a certain email address that has since signed up and both parties concerned are definate that they followed the referral and agree that it was you that referred them, i don't see how they can refuse the points.
Technology isn't always 100% perfect, and pigsback need to realise this and get a back up plan to ensure that people who are spreading the pigsback word for them, get the rewards that they deserve. I don't think it's enough for them to just be able to say 'oh yeah well we can see you did send them the referral and that they signed up, but we're not giving you the points as our tracking system didn't pick it up, end of discussion', it's not fair on the members that are making the effort to get their friends to sign up on the basis that they'd get points for doing so. Afterall, pigsback will make money from each and every person who is signed up that use their accounts, and the ones that don't really use their accounts will still be good for pigsback to be able to say to prospective advertisers etc that they have XXXX amount of members that they can get their advertisement seen by.
Int he talkback discussion a while back, i suggested to pigsback that they have a secondary method of making sure referrals are matched up/tracked by also having the person signing up, putting the referrers pigsback id (email) or unique referral code into a box on the sign up page. That way, they don't have to just rely on a system that doesn't always track 100% of the time.Lost lbs =
