Hi all,
Is it normal for a buyer to ask for a full fixtures and fittings list in an empty house that is being sold as part of an estate?
Just wondered if this is a normal thing to happen in the process or is it a delay tactic?
Also, how long after this would completion be?
Thanks

It is normal to list what will be staying and what will be taken, carpets curtains etc, even if you are taking the picture hooks. Probably stems from some horror stories I've heard about moving in and finding no lightbulbs, even heard of someone who could be bothered to take the insulation out of the loft! It's just so everyone knows where they stand. As for how long completion will be - how long is a piece of string - best to keep talking to your solicitor for that sort of detail.0

Thanks, good to know its a normal thing to do. The solicitor says she is pushing it through, but just wondered at what stage this part of the process happens to gage where we are.
The buyers originally told us they were buying with cash but now i am not so sure you see.
Thanks for the reply.0 -
This happens at the beginning. Your solicitor sends you the F&F form along with the Sellers Property Information Form to fill out. THey then forward it to the buyers. It's exactly the same form for every vendor, afaik, and clarifies for everyone's benefit, exactly what the sale includes.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
