Low tax/insurance family car

Can anyone direct me to a website (or even recommed cars) which lists cars based on tax & insurance groups. I've tried googling but not sure what i'm looking at.
Need to fit 2 child car seats, have large boot space and be big enough for OH to fit behind wheel. Previous car Renault Scenic (was ideal for needs just wondering if anything simular would be better on costs). Courtsey car Vauxhall Zafira, which again suits our needs but not sure of costs.
With insurance both drivers 10yr+ clean licenses, but 2 non fault claims in last 3 yrs which i'm guessing this is where it will sting us with cost.
TIA

Just because its a low insurance group doesnt mean its going to be cheaper to insure.

I can insure a 2.5L V6 sporty version of a large family car cheaper than a Corsa.
Too many claims from spotty young ones on Corsa's.

But it will depend on company to company and area to area.

If your company dont insure spotty young un's or old people who scrape the garage door every week, Probably have zero claims on a Cora so may rate them much lower.

Swings and roudabouts.. Cheap tax but dearer to repair or needs repairing more often?

    Thanks for that.
So maybe more focusing on car that suits our driving needs, with highest possible security features and worry about tax and insurance latter on.
I was considering another Scenic (although newer reg than previous one) as it suits our needs and seems to be ok with tax and insurance groups, just didnt know if there was anything simular that would beat it on costs.

Yup, as an example. My 1.33l Toyota IQ is £320 to insure, the 1999 Jaguar XJ8 4.0l V8 that will hopefully replace it is £418 to insure. And tax isn't that much more than a 2002 1.2l Corsa!

    How about a 1972 range rover with a 3.9L V8 petrol fitted?

Very cheap to run. £112 a year fully comp insurance, Free road tax.

Ive got 16mpg on a run :) Might be worth fitting an overdrive.

My sister bought a Vauxhall Meriva when she moved up from a Corsa and her insurance nearly halved plus the inside is the size of a barn.
